Since 2003, the Children of Kilimanjaro Foundation provides education and health to vulnerable children on Mt. Kilimanjaro. We support primary and secondary schools, set up training in tailoring and carpentry, organized HIV testing, treatment and counselling, and provided support around water management and eco-tourism. For these activities, we always try to partner with village chiefs, health representatives and school teachers in order to align local needs with what we can offer.
Over the years, the region has seen a tremendous developmental growth and the focus of our activities has changed from basic capacity building to sharing knowledge and providing expert advice. In order to understand how our activities can continue to match local needs, we are searching for volunteers that would like to travel to Tanzania, e.g. as part of their studies. Purpose is to do a needs assessment and write a business plan, specifically focusing on health, agriculture and/or sustainable economic development.
Are you a Master student looking for a 2-4 month project in one of these fields (health, agriculture and/or sustainable economic development): please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
